Pray for Your Children

As I look at the generations under me that are growing up in today's world, I am burdened. And I'm sure I'm not the only one!

While there are many things I could say about this subject alone, I am making this post to gently remind everyone to do the most important thing:

Pray for your children.

There are many other things we are to be doing with our children such as consistent Bible study and prayer, teaching, encouraging, disciplining, etc. All of those things and more are super important and even commanded in the pages of Scripture as we raise our children in the ways of the Lord.

But we also are to bring our children before the throne of God, asking Him to protect them from the onslaught of worldly influences that we know are coming.

We are to ask Him to draw our children to Himself through His Holy Spirit.

We are to ask Him to bless our Bible study, teaching and prayer with our children through His Holy Spirit so that it will be imprinted in their hearts and minds and will guide them as they go through life.

We are in a war. The Devil wants to win our child's souls, and he uses every means he can to get it. As parents who believe in Christ we are to be consistently fighting back in this war... not to be a passive bystander while our children are constantly being enticed to come to the other side of the battle. This begins with prayer.

So today and every day, pray for your children.
